PRESCHOOL

Difficulty: Beginner

Class Length: 45 minutes

Class Ratio: 6 to 1

Spark's preschool program helps toddlers and preschoolers develop strength, coordination, and confidence. Our specially-designed preschool area is over 1,000 square feet and has smaller bars, wider beams, soft mats, foam blocks, a rope, and a black-bed trampoline on top of a soft, spongy floor. To make things fun and challenging, we build obstacle courses and change them every three weeks.

Up to age 3, parents serve as coaches, supporting their children physically and emotionally, and practicing hand-spotting. At the age of 3, students can progress to Poppers or Firecrackers, where they attend class without parents. Our preschool program curriculum invites students progress at their own rate as they develop social and school-readiness skills.

Sparklers (18 months - 5 years) This structured class gives parents the opportunity to help their budding athlete develop gross motor skills and confidence. Parents will learn how to hand-spot their children and help them get ready for independence (students can move to Poppers at age 3). Other classes are often going on at the same time; for safety reasons, children MUST stay with the group at all times.

Preschool (3 - 5 years) This class is for children who are ready to take on new challenges without the aid of their parents. At this age, children tend to be visual learners, so our teachers will demonstrate skills in addition to providing verbal instructions. Preschoolers will learn not only to traverse beams and obstacle courses, but will also develop school-readiness skills such as following instructions, waiting, and taking turns.
