FAQ

WHAT ABOUT SNACKS AND LUNCH FOR CAMPERS?

All campers registered for full-day must bring lunch. All students should bring ample snacks and a water bottle or two for the day. If a camper’s lunch or snack items are found to contain items that are not nut-free, Spark will place the items in the child’s lunchbox or bag to take home. Please be careful to read all ingredients and not pack any items with trace nuts or nuts. Any homemade items that resemble nut products (sunbutter) must be marked as we will err on the side of caution as we have staff and campers who are highly allergic.

DID YOU SAY PIZZA?

Friday is pizza day! $5 - CASH ONLY. Available to order at the front desk for full day and half day extended campers. Only worry about packing snacks, juice and a water bottle.

WHAT IS SPARK'S REFUND POLICY?

Spark does not issue refunds for camp. Gym credits can be granted for cancellations made via EMAIL at least 30 days in advance of the first day of camp minus the non-refundable* deposit. Cancellations via phone will not be accepted and will be considered no-shows (as we cannot verify the time of the cancellation).

*A $150 per week per child deposit will be charged to secure your child’s spot in camp. Once you approve camp enrollment, no refunds will be granted; however, if you cancel camp prior to March 31st, you will get a credit to your Spark account for your entire deposit and prior to May 31st, we will credit your Spark account 50% of your deposit. After May 31st, no credits will be provided. If adequate notice is given and space permits, you are welcome to switch weeks (fee may apply).

CAN I CHANGE MY REQUESTED CAMP WEEK?

Yes, IF we have availability. Any transfers to other camp days or weeks will incur a change fee of $35 per week or $10/$15 per day (HD or HDX/FD). Changes may be requested outside of 48 hours and contingent on staff availability. Please EMAIL the gym to request any changes to days, weeks or times. Changing times (ex. from HDAM to HDPM) will not incur a change fee, but is contingent on staff availability.

WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED THE REST OF MY TUITION?

The remaining balance of your camp tuition is due according to the following schedule:

  • For camp sessions in June, the balance is due of June 1st.

  • For camp sessions in July, the balance is due on July 1st.

  • For camp sessions in August, the remaining balance is due on August 1st.

Please note that the charge will be automatically applied to your account as soon as your enrollment is confirmed. If you prefer, you have the option to pay the balance earlier through the parent portal at any time before the specified due dates.

CAN MY YOUNGER CHILD BE WITH HIS/HER OLDER FRIEND?

Campers may join groups of younger campers, but younger campers may NOT join older groups.

WHAT ARE THE CAMPER-TO-COUNSELOR RATIOS AT CAMP?

For safety reasons, we have dropped our camp group sizes to 8 (from 10).

HOW OLD ARE YOUR COUNSELORS?

ALL of Spark's lead instructors are 18 or older. Some assistant counselors are in high school, but all are experienced (most are high-level current or former gymnasts) and trained in class management, basic skill progressions, and hand-spotting. When staffing permits, older children may be grouped by age and skill level.

CAN I USE MAKE-UPS TOKENS?

NO partial make-ups will be accepted! You must have enough make-ups to cover whichever option you choose to sign-up for. To use makeups for camp, please send an email listing the dates of enrollment, and your preferred option.
